I Ching & Tarot Insight from the 12th of January to the 19th of January 2020.

With many feeling anxious, I will begin each reading with I Ching. For those that are feeling anxious or overwhelmed, read the I Ching and leave the tarot insight. The tarot insight is below the I Ching reading. I will be moving forward this way from here on. In saying this, today's tarot reading is not confronting, but nurturing.

I Ching reading

This is favourable hexagram to move forward from such unrest, for now anyway knowing that things are always changing and evolving and it's important to move with each wave of energy. This hexgram speaks of enthusiasm.

The lower trigram is ruled by Kun, earth. To have this as a lower trigram speaks of earthing and grounding what has been recently experienced and what is. It is encouraged to move forward as you walk the ground with vitality and renewed energy. It speaks of space and movement for relaxation even in the smallest movements to listen to the presence of earth and communication of wind, the whispers of ancestors voices guiding you forward. A time for nurture and rest as well as education and speaking up about the teachings that have been learned. It shares to be grounded in the wisdom of the body and act on healing, moving the emotion to gain wisdom. This is not a time to be stagnant in your will.

The upper trigram is ruled by Zhen, thunder. This combination is harmonious and shares the wisdom of the power of thunder knowingly we walk forward with more unrest rattling away what is not truth, invigorating both spirit and body to tackle the emotions that is needing release. Grounding this power is essential and reminds each person to not hide behind what is felt and what is needing your presence to heal.

Tarot Insight

The major arcana influence for the week is the Empress. Earthing this card speaks of moving the concern and worry you feel in your body. Important as it is asking for your presence around what you're feeling, for healing purposes and to also return to doing the things that give you nurturance. It is important to practice the above knowing nothing ever remains the same and with the level of trauma that is being experienced around the world, it is necessary to practice the things that give you most joy and rest when needed. To ground what you're feeling and bring yourself back into the body, no matter how small these moments are it is necessary. It is within these nurturing spaces we hear the voice of our real self, our knowing.

The supporting card is the Ten of Cups. This confirms the above and speaks of joy revitalising the body. Though it also speaks of not escaping the emotional body by throwing yourself into 'nurturing' by not accepting and acknowledging what emotionally needs your presence. To disconnect from this will only end up in more emotional turmoil in the near future.
