Beginning with the I Ching reading:
This weeks hexagram is governed by the sea and heavens. It carries the most peaceful feeling and encourages us to flow with our own natural rhythm keeping focused on how our real self feels, the messages of our intuition.
The lower trigram is Dui governed by the sea. The peace we receive when we are in flow with our ancestors and the earth, listening deeply to the messages we feel in the body and taking action on them.
With many feeling anxious, I will begin each reading with I Ching. For those that are feeling anxious or overwhelmed, read the I Ching and leave the tarot insight. The tarot insight is below the I Ching reading. I will be moving forward this way from here on. In saying this, today's tarot reading is not confronting, but nurturing.
I Ching reading
This is favourable hexagram to move forward from such unrest, for now anyway knowing that things are always changing and evolving and it's important to move with each wave of energy. This hexgram speaks of enthusiasm.
Major arcana influence for the week is Strength. The Santa Muerte tarot deck had to be the one, having the strong influence of death throughout. Perfect.
Scrying the Strength card, speaks of the obvious- what strength really is and how many think strength is putting walls up, hiding what it really is they need and want to express, protecting the core of the issue and let's not forget the pain and fear of being vulnerable.
The major arcana influence for the week is The Lovers. The artwork in the deck evokes just the right amount chaos and creation which absolutely is being felt right now.
Earthing the card speaks of connection, communication, relationships and partnerships. It speaks of plans or planning. It also holds pause and reflection for the past and expect past connections to emerge for one of reconciliation. Whether that reconciliation is, depends on both individuals and the timing of reconnection. I say timing, because of the fire and chaos in the air.
Major arcana influence for the week is The Tower.
Yes again, but anyone feeling the earth will know this to be true. You can feel below your feet and all around you that things are being rattled, and it needs to be so fuck yeah to that.
Earthing the card, speaks more of the breaking open whether it has already happened or you can feel it coming, and the depth of pain needed to be reached in order to transmute the energy to be standing in presence within in it for this life change to unfold as it should be.
Major arcana influence for the week is The Tower.
Yes again, but not surprising and always much needed. Sign of the times loves and all of that, we have to go with the flow and move with it.
Earthing the Tower card, speaks of some unexpected happenings, but also I want to say some of it won't be so unexpected. The unexpected timing of certain situations that will erupt, or how the person responds or expresses how they feel. This includes work and home situations which of course leads to all relationships including relationships to finances and money.
The major arcana influence for the week is the Wheel of Fortune.
Earthing the card, speaks of changes. How those changes play out depends on the choices you make. The Wheel of Fortune is neither good nor bad, and it tells us that changes are on the cusp, but how they will unfold is another thing altogether. When I scry the card, I see how there is movement but also how easy it is to fall back into what you know is familiar out of fear of stepping out into the unfamiliar and changing things for the better.
The major arcana influence for the week is The Hermit.
And just like the image on the card, it feels emotional. Feeling the full force of rage and grief and feeling introspective of where to from here. Communication maybe be minimal this week, more of a pulling within and really listening to how you're feeling and what needs to change for you to create the shift that asking for your attention and presence.
The major arcana influence for the week is not so surprising, the Hermit.
Not surprising while Mercury retrogrades through Scorpio and we're being pushed and pulled to bring our energy in, but also for some trying to resist the glamour of being pulled into drama and over reaction to certain situations and reacting from the presence of some people.
This week is going to be different as I'm not using the standard tarot system but felt to use the New Orleans Voodoo tarot as the card work and art is nicely earthed, and with the spiciness of the energy that is at play at the moment, I felt the Voodoo tarot will be perfect for it. I'm just going to work across the cards from first to third.
The art work for the card Simbi, is delicious. It speaks of energy in chaos manifesting with your will. I feel this is connected to ancestral work at play.
Major arcana influence for the week is the Empress. Please read the reading all the way through as I've added some extra at the end about the current energy.
The card of the Empress is a beautiful card. Earthing the card speaks of manifesting the changes you have been wanting to fulfil for some time which is why the Death card showed itself last week. I will share more of this towards the end of the reading.
